Moscow Day School Mission Statement
MDS is a non-profit organization that exists for the purpose of creating a positive, stimulating learning environment, which also provides security and nurturing. We strive to be a preschool that promotes healthy development and constructive education for all young children. Our primary focus is to be a high-quality early childhood development program.
The school opened in September 1979. A group of parents saw a need for quality child care and worked together to start the school. Parents make up the board of directors and volunteer their time and energy. The school could not run properly without parent support. We are located in the lower level of the Moscow First Presbyterian Church, next to Moscow Senior High School and across from the Latah County Courthouse. Our facilities include four classrooms, an indoor gym, a fully-fenced playground, an enrichment program room, and access to the church sanctuary for special events.
